Bonus Whores Blacklisted Online Poker Rooms

Blacklisted Poker Sites

Vs Poker
Vs Poker was listed on BonusWhores.com, after coming to us, requesting to be listed. We did list them, under a standard deal where we would be paid for the players we sent to them. After holding up our end of the agreement, and listing them for a couple of months, they have not held up their end, and have been completely unresponsive for over a month. We are not sure if this due to insolvency, or a more nefarious to desire to have shady dealings. Either way, Vs Poker should be completely avoided.

Joyland Casino

Normally we stick just to poker, but the situation at Joyland Casino has prompted them to be listed here. In a nutshell, many players took advantage of Joyland's comp points offer. After the offer was discontinued, and players tried to cashout, there was a large string of problems. Some players were locked out of their accounts, others had their transaction histories (showing cashouts legitimately earned) altered to remove any sign of the winnings. Some players received their $500 deposits back (but only the winners, the losers were not refunded anything.) Joyland also became mostly non-communicative during this time, although they did try to blame their promotion on a "glitch" thus attempting to make their software provider Playtech look bad. After about 6 weeks of being lied to, having transaction histories altered, and generally being treated like sub humans, Joyland offered to pay players just their winnings (at least those players who won) but they still would not make good on their comp points offer. The total estimated owed to players ranges from $100,000 to half a million.

Under no circumstances should anyone play at Joyland casino.
For the full (very long) story, this thread at Casinomeister shows how everything played out.

The Platinum Poker Club

PremierPokerProps managed props for The Platinum Poker Club in August and September of 2004. PremierPokerProps's pay for doing this was a X% override on the total props' pay (prop pay was a 100% rake back.) Dating back to work done in August of 2004, PremierPokerProps is still owed funds. For the majority of our props, PremierPokerProps has only been paid 75% of what they are owed. However, there are a handful of props that The Platinum Poker Club has not paid anything for.

They were given over two months to resolve these issues, and have not. Many times our emails were ignored, and only after much pestering was I able to obtain any response. On November 2nd, they were sent an ultimatum to either make serious headway on our outstanding issues in one week, or face the saga going public on BonusWhores.com, 2+2, and getting blacklisted on BonusWhores.com. The total due is not a terribly large sum (just a few hundred) so it is greatly distressing that they have chosen to let this happen.

Absolute Poker

Absolute Poker has been added to the blacklist due to the very high likelihood that cheating was, and may still be going on in high stakes cash games and tournaments, and that this was either perpetrated by someone within the AP organization, or AP has been excessively negligent in their security. In one incident, a master hand history was sent to a player who had grown suspicious about action he witnessed in a $1,000 buy-in tournament from 9/12/07. That requested hand history, presumably sent by mistake, was a master hand history (it contained the hole cards of each player.) When looking through each individual hand of this tournament, it's obvious that one of the players had knowledge of what all players were holding.

The fact that at least one player on Absolute Poker was cheating is virtually indisputable. How they were getting their information to cheat with, and who was giving it to them is a matter of speculation. However, it's obvious that Absolute Poker is not a safe place to play. If you wish to know all the details of this case, we suggest you read this thread. Absolute Poker's most recent statement can be found in this thread. On 1/11 the Kahnawake Gaming Commission released the findings of their investigation: KGC findings
